RAMPIRES ist eine wilde Mixtur aus peitschenden Punkrockbeats, einem treibenden Kontrabass, fetten Gitarren, dreckigen Saxophoneinlagen und eingängigen Melodien, die auch nach wiederholtem Hören nicht ihren Drive verlieren.
Die fünfköpfige Band aus Münster (NRW) bezeichnet ihren Musikstil selbst als Psychopunk und verbindet dabei szeneübergreifend Elemte des Psychobillys, des Horrorpunks bis hin zu einigen Metalriffs. Im Herbst 2003 unter dem Namen GODZILLA FLIP gegründet, erkämpften sie sich schnell einen Ruf als lohnenswerte Liveband.
Im August 2005 erschien dann ihr Debütalbum Kamikaze Attack, welches sowohl positive Reviews, als auch negative Post in Form einer Urheberrechtsklage aus Japan zur Folge hatte. Grund hierfür war der Bandname. Um den Namenswechsel in RAMPIRES der (...) Mehr anzeigenWelt lautstark mitzuteilen, wurde 2006 sofort das Folgealbum Bat Taste veröffentlicht. Nach zahlreichen Konzerten im In- und Ausland (u.a. mit U.K.Subs, The Meteors, Mad Sin, Deadline, The Bones, etc.) haben sie nun für ihr drittes Album Bat To The Bone 14 neue Killersongs aufgenommen. Obwohl sie ihrem individuellen Stil dabei treu geblieben sind, gibt es diesmal noch mehr Abwechslung, noch mehr Mitsingchöre und noch mehr düstere Geschichten aus dem Bat Empire.
RAMPIRES is synonymous with blasting punkrock-drumming, a venomous slapping stand-up bass, massive guitars and catchy melodies, which will fix the listeners attention even after multiple consume. This band from Munster, North-Rhine Westphalia (Germany) - describing it`s own style as Psychopunk - was established in 2003 under it's former name GODZILLA FLIP and gathered many good reputations as an interesting live-act.
After several sampler-contributions their debut record Kamikaze Attack was released in August 2005 and it earned many positive reviews, but also one particular negative response. A copyright claim from Japan! The reason was their Bandname. So they changed their name into RAMPIRES and to show the world what they're all about, they quickly recorded their follow up album Bat Taste. Both records were put out by Crazy Love Records and are distributed through Cargo Records. Wether as mainact or in supporting well-known bands, such like UK Subs, The Business, The Meteors, The Bones or Deadline, the RAMPIRES gain a constantly increasing fan community while playing in clubs, on festivals and open-airs.
Now they've recorded 14 new killer tracks for their third album Bat To The Bone which typically combines the best elements of Psychobilly, Horrorpunk, Hardcore and Metal.
